Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Discovery Center is at 4425 Arrowswest Drive, off Garden of the Gods Road.
'Gardening' programs are included in the center's normal admission price - $10 for adults and $5 for children, with discounts for students, seniors and military.
Also new at the Discovery Center is a “special interactive traveling exhibit, Roll, Drop, Bounce,” a press release states. “This totally kinetic and hands-on experience appeals to the wheel-spinning, ball-tossing and continuously-bouncing kids of all ages.”

GoG Center's 'Gateway'
Here are Gateway Adventure Series at the Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center through July.
Programs in the series require a fee and reservations.
The Visitor Center, 1850 N. 30th St., also offers a variety of free, weekly programs, presentations and activities.
Note: The weekly, summer Bat Walk programs through August are entirely booked up, according to Dolores Davis, the center's community relations director.

Annual rodeo July 12-15
The 77th annual Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo is slated Wednesday to Saturday, July 12-15 at the Norris-Penrose Event Center, 1045 Lower Gold Camp Road.
Competition times each night are at 7 p.m., plus a Saturday matinee performance at 12:30 p.m. The Saturday night finale will decide the champion(s) in each event.
The listed events are steer wrestling, bareback riding, tie-down roping, saddle-bronc riding, team roping, bull riding and women's barrel racing.
Activities outside the stadium will start about three hours beforehand, including mutton bustin' (a sheep ride for kids), mechanical bull riding, pony rides and western-style dinner (extra cost).
Rodeo ticket prices (with some discounts) range from $18 to $50, depending on dates and seat locations. Parking is free.

CTU Volunteer Fair July 20
Colorado Technical University will present its annual CTU Volunteer Fair Thursday, July 20 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Free and open to the public, the event will be a chance for 20-some local non-profits to “showcase their volunteer, internship, or even job openings,” a press release states.
