American Legion Centennial Post 209 served as the honor guard for a Veterans Day assembly Nov. 6 at West Elementary/Middle School. The event also included student performances, two World War II veterans as speakers and the presentation of $267 that the schools raised for the Honor Flight program for southern Colorado.
