Volunteers from Manitou Springs High School help sort out decorations and presents for the Teen Resource Center’s Teen Holiday Party Dec. 10 at the West Intergenerational Center (which made use of the West Middle School gym, above; and cafeteria). Organized by the El Paso County Department of Human Services and the City of Colorado Springs, the third annual event offered dinner and festivities, focused especially on young people (many of them foster children) who receive help from various community agencies. More than 500 gifts were donated for the event to give out to kids ages 0 to 25, according to Marie Parker of Human Services.
