Westside schools schedule seasonal shows

       Westside public schools in District 11 are planning seasonal performances leading up to the Christmas break Dec. 18.
       Events that already occurred this week were a music program by Midland Elementary's grades K-2; a skit program by West Middle School students; and concerts by the Holmes Middle School jazz band, Coronado High jazz bands and Buena Vista Elementary Band and Orchestra.
       Below is a chronological listing of the schools' holiday shows. All are free - except the Dec. 8 Coronado High School choir concert. - and open to the public. The locations are the respective schools, except where indicated.
                Dec. 3
       1:45 and 6:30 p.m., Bristol Elementary, 890 N. Walnut St. Musical (grade 3).
       4:30 p.m., Bristol. Band and Orchestra.
       7:30 p.m. Coronado High, 1590 W. Fillmore St. (auditorium). Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Bands.
                Dec. 7
       1:30 and 6:30 p.m. Buena Vista, 924 Pikes Peak Ave. Musical (grades 1-3).
                Dec. 8
       1:45 and 6:30 p.m. Bristol. Suzuki violins and Honor Choir.
       7 p.m. Coronado. High Repertory Choir, Cantadoras, Men's Choir, the Coronado Bluenotes and the Shomber choir. $3 in advance/$4 at the door.
                Dec. 9
       1:30 and 6:30 p.m. Jackson Elementary, 4340 Edwinstowe Ave. Musical (grade 5).
       6:30 p.m. Midland Elementary, 2110 W. Broadway St. Band and Orchestra.
       7 p.m. Holmes Middle School, 2455 Mesa Road. Concert Band (grade 7) and Symphonic Band (grade 8).

       1:45 and 6:30 p.m. West Elementary, 25 N. 20th St. Chimes and choir (by after-school club, grades 3-5).
