Westside schools set 22 holiday concerts Dec. 4-20

       Whittier Elementary's band and orchestra concert Tuesday, Dec. 4 will kick off the traditional seasonal performances by Westside schools leading up to their Christmas vacation.
       The last will be a musical at Buena Vista Elementary Thursday, Dec. 20.
       In between are scheduled 20 other shows, involving bands, orchestras, choirs and/or actors.
       All these performances are free, open to the public and scheduled at the respective schools - with the exception of Coronado High, which, because its auditorium is under construction, will present its three holiday concerts Dec. 11-13 at Mitchell High.
       Here is a chronological listing of all the Westside school concerts:
       Dec. 4
       6:30 p.m., Whittier Elementary, 2904 W. Kiowa St. Band & Orchestra Concert.
       Dec. 5
       6:30 p.m., Howbert Elementary, 1023 N. 31 St. Kindergarten Musical.
       Dec. 6
       6 p.m., Midland Elementary, 2110 W. Broadway St. Band & Orchestra.
       6:30 p.m., Howbert. Band & Orchestra (grades 4&5) Winter Concert.
       Dec. 11
       6 p.m., Washington Elementary, 924 W. Pikes Peak Ave. Choir & Sun Chimes (Bell Choir).
       7 p.m. West Middle School, 1920 W. Pikes Peak Ave. Band and Orchestra Concert.
       7:30 p.m., Coronado High Holiday Jazz Concert at Mitchell High.
       Dec. 12
       6:30 p.m., Buena Vista, 1620 W. Bijou St. Band (grades 4&5) and Orchestra (5) Concert.
       7 p.m., Coronado High Choir Concert at Mitchell High.
       7 p.m., West. Choir Concert.
