Free on-street parking in Old Colorado City on Saturdays through Dec. 24 On Saturdays through Christmas Eve, you won't have to feed the parking meters in Old Colorado City.The dates are Dec. 3, 10, 17 and 24. The parking break, approved by City Council, is typically offered before Christmas in both the downtown and Old Colorado City. The effect this season is “to help citizens shop locally,” a press release states. However, because city meter-readers remain on duty during that time, meters will still need to be fed on Mondays through Fridays (from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.).
