Mark Gardner to perform for Pikes Peak Posse of the Westerners Nov. 10 Writer/musician Mark Gardner will be featured at the next dinner presentation by the Pikes Peak Posse of the Westerners Monday, Nov. 10.Open to the public, the program will begin at 6 p.m. at the Colorado Springs Masonic Hall, 1130 Panorama Drive. Gardner is an area banjo player, historical author and organizer of Rock Ledge Ranch's annual Fiddles, Vittles & Vino musical lineup. In the past two years he has published a nonfiction book (“Shot All to Hell: Jesse James, the Northfield Raid and the Wild West's Greatest Escape”) and released a music CD (“Outlaws: Songs of Robbers, Rustlers and Rogues”). The evening will consist of a catered dinner, at a cost of $16, followed by Gardner's performance of a “saddlebag of famous and lesser-known outlaw ballads, featuring a number of songs from his award-winning CD.” Reservations are suggested by the preceding Friday before 10 a.m. Formed in 1976, the Posse encourages research related to the American frontier West.
