Center sets art show, volunteer orientation

       Planning its “Visions of Nature” art show and sale Saturday, Dec. 6, the Bear Creek Nature Center is putting out a call for artists.
       The deadline for entries is Saturday, Oct. 25. All media is welcome.
       The purpose is to “celebrate open space landscapes and wildlife throughout the state of Colorado,” a press release states.
       Also happening at the Nature Center is an orientation session for volunteers Saturday, Oct. 25 from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Volunteers' duties include helping visitors, providing programs and assisting with hikes.
       The center is at 245 Bear Creek Road.
