Oktoberfest at Penrose to benefit charities

Oktoberfest will be celebrated each of the two coming Friday and Saturday nights at the Norris-Penrose Event Center's Indoor Arena, with proceeds going to
military charities.
The listed times are 4:30 p.m. to midnight Sept. 29-30 and Oct. 6-7. Admission is $5 for ages 21 and over and free for military personnel and ages under 21. The event features German food and beer, with a live band and dancing. For children, there will be a bounce house and other activities. The center is at 245 W. Rio Grande St. Parking is free.
