Room to grow

The morning sunlight catches a grape-vined arbor with a Grecian-styled statue on the Secret Garden property that’s been an ongoing project for Steve Muzzipapa off Sheldon Avenue and 19th Street since 1988. He estimates he’s planted more than 1,000 types of vegetation while increasing his space to 1½ acres and using it commercially as a wedding/event center. For the past three years Muzzipapa has also offered a summer outdoor concert series. This year’s shows ($5 admission fee) will continue Tuesday evenings through Sept. 25.
