West Center’s fall brochure lists variety of doings

       The Fall 2006 brochure for the West Intergenera-tional Center has been published.
       The 16-page publication lists various events, classes, outings, activities, programs and help opportunities that are available to the public through the community center at 25 N. 20th St. or School District 11.
       Some upcoming items of general interest include:
  • The West Center Community Theater, an all-ages performance project (cost $9 or $14 for five sessions; first signup deadline Tuesday, Sept. 5).
  • The first of the every-other-week Teen Nights Friday, Sept. 8 at West (cost $2);
  • A meeting of West's middle-school-age teen activities committee Thursday, Sept. 21 from 4 to 5:30 p.m.
  • A bus trip to Ferrara's Happy Apple Farm in Penrose (cost $5) Friday, Sept. 15.
  • The Winter/Spring Planning Meeting (at which citizens can help plan future programs and trips) Friday, Sept. 22 at 10:30 a.m.
