Biz Buzz:
Business sites to drop off CARES donations
Two Westside businesses will be donation sites for Westside CARES non-perishable foods in September.
For times and other information, contact the businesses: Although Westside CARES food pantries are chiefly supported by local churches, the nonprofit emergency-assistance agency is “always grateful for food donation collections like [these], and we would readily support many more of them,” said Steve Brown, its executive director. For more information, call Westside CARES at 389-0759. New licensed daycare Delia's Daycare is a licensed home daycare that recently opened at 651 Manitou Blvd. Owned by Delia Eberhart, the business offers weekday care for children 2˝ to 5 years old. “I was born and raised on the Colorado Springs Westside and love the community feeling we share,” Eberhart said. “I now have a four-month old son named Jase and decided to leave my job in order to stay at home with him.” Her experience includes “teen years babysitting and acting as a nanny for families with young children,” she said. She also assisted her mother with her home daycare business, volunteered with Head Start at Bristol Elementary School and was a project leader for the Adventure Club at Frontier Elementary. The phone is 510-5465; she can also be reached by e-mail at deliaeberhart@hotmail.com. Westside Pioneer/press release |
