Fireworks news: Drop-off stations, new Manitou view

If you have fireworks and want to get rid of them, you can take them to a Colorado Springs fire station through July 6. On the Westside, these are stations 3 (922 W.
Colorado Ave.), 5 (2830 W. Colorado Ave.) and 9 (622 Garden of the Gods Road).
Fire personnel must be present. Times are daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. For those who have liked viewing Manitou Springs' annual dusk Red Mountain fireworks show, the city's Fire Department will shoot them this July 4 from Higgenbotham Flats because of wildfire concerns. From a press release |
