Happy Cats 'adoption fair' June 11; shelter on South 21st Street to reopen July 10 Happy Cats Haven will host an “adoption fair” at the Uintah Gardens PetCo store Wednesday, June 11 from 4 to 8 p.m.The adoption fee for kittens is $80 and $50 for adults. Fees include neutering, testing and vaccinations. Call 635-5000 for more information. The event is part of the national Just One Day event, promoting less euthanasia for animals. A nonprofit, volunteer-run rescue/adoption center, Happy Cats Haven started at 1412 S. 21st St. close to three years ago. However, as a precaution due to a recent rescue involving a sick cat, Happy Cats has temporarily had to shut its doors to the public, its website states. The scheduled reopening is July 10.
