Bat Walks offered at GoG Visitor Center Tuesdays through Aug. 26

       Volunteer bat specialist Jeanne McElderry returns this summer to lead weekly hikes into bat-gathering areas in the Garden of the Gods.
       The free “Bat Walks” will be offered Tuesday evenings June 17 to Aug. 26. The time is 6:30 p.m.
       Participants need to make reservations in advance. The starting point is the Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center, 1850 N. Garden of the Gods Road.
       Other summer programs are being offered through the Visitor Center, including occasional touch tables, daily guided walks, a weekly rattlesnake presentation and bird viewing. For more information, call 219-0108.
