The above collage, created by Old Colorado City artist Jason Baalman, imagines the Westside Pioneer as an 1800s-era sepia-toned newspaper, colored with grafitt-esque Indian petroglyphs. Similar Old West themes – including local history insights – can be seen in the mural he’s creating on the brick wall along 25th Street at Colorado Avenue.
