Sewer work at Chestnut/Fontanero; more on Westside this summer
A wastewater replacement project is nearing completion at Chestnut Street near Fontanero Street.
According to Steve Berry of Colorado Springs Utilities, contracted crews started April 21 to replace 350 feet of 6-inch pipe that had deteriorated. The work had some impacts on Chestnut Street traffic as well as the trail through the adjacent Mesa Springs Greenway just west of I-25. The expected completion date is May 5. Berry also gave a heads-up that “quite of bit” of wastewater upgrade work is planned on the Westside this summer. He said he would try to obtain a list of locations (to run in a future issue of the Westside Pioneer). Westside Pioneer article |
