Wendy's on West Colorado Avenue reopens after two-week remodel

After a two-week closure for a major remodel, temporary flags and a sign-waver outside were clear indications April 4 that the Wendy's at 3036 W. Colorado Ave. was open for business again.
       John Peters, the chief operating officer for Wendy's stores in the region, said he was pleased at how the project turned out, not just from a sales standpoint but because the work enhances that location and thus the community.
       The project included an exterior facelift, new utilities, parking lot improvements and enhancements to the kitchen, dining area and product offerings.
       Jeff Lyons, director of area operations for Wendy's, said it's probably been 15 years since the Westside restaurant had an upgrade of that magnitude.
