City hosts meeting on Camp Creek
flash-flood issues at Glen Eyrie April 1

       For the second year, the city will host an early-spring meeting with citizens about Camp Creek flood-risk issues. Hosted by the Office of Emergency Management, the session will be Wednesday, April 1 at the Glen Eyrie Castle, 3820 N. 30th St., from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
       The meeting is geared for the “neighborhoods along Camp Creek,” but is open to the general public, a press release states.
       Speakers will discuss the following topics:
       - Recovery and mitigation efforts on the Waldo Canyon burn scar.
       - Weather forecasting and potential flood impact areas.
       - Mitigation efforts and how citizens can prepare.
       - Notification methods for flash flood warnings.
       - How the city is preparing, including planning and responses.
