Emergency storm-drain work at 21st and Colorado

An emergency storm-sewer drain project partially closed the intersection of 21st Street and Colorado Avenue starting at about 3 a.m. Feb. 15.
Southbound traffic was blocked from 21st Street to Cucharras Street, while eastbound traffic through the intersection was reduced to one lane. Crews need to replace a 360-foot-long, deteriorating box culvert; they are putting a two-foot-wide plastic line in its place. The work may continue into this week, depending on the weather.
