Simpich presents his puppet adaptation of 'Oliver Twist' Feb. 4-March 29 The Simpich Showcase Theatre is presenting “Oliver Twist,” David Simpich's puppeteering version of Charles Dickens' 1837 serialized novel about a London criminal underworld that exploited children.Shows are Feb. 4 to March 29 at the Simpich Theatre, 2413 W. Colorado Ave. Admission prices range from $12 to $14. Performances are Wednesdays as well as Fridays to Sundays. Simpich wrote his adaptation in 1996, hand-carving the marionette characters, which he manipulates while playing the role of Dickens.
