Water-line work to keep Mesa Road closed from 19th to Uintah until end of January

A water main replacement project is expected to continue blocking both directions of Mesa Road at its 1600 block until about the end of January.
       “We're installing 20-inch and 8-inch-diameter PVC pipes and removing a water main out of a private right-of-way,” said Colorado Springs Utilities spokesperson Steve Berry.
       The project started Jan. 18.
       Signs have been posted advising motorists that the section of Mesa Road between Uintah Street and 19th Street is currently not open to through traffic.
